Others

*SOBER REFLECTIONS* Your BIRTH came through *Others* Your NAME was given by *Others* Your were EDUCATED by *Others* Your INCOME indirectly comes through *Others* Your RESPECT is given by *Others* Your first BATH was given by *Others* Your last BATH will be done by *Others* Your FUNERAL will be organised by *Others* You will be taken to your FINAL RESTING PLACE by *Others* and EVERYTHING you owned will be inherited by *Others* Hmm..... Why, then, do some of us let our EGO, our CAREER, our MONEY and our BELIEFS undermine the worth of *Others* in our lives, when we are so dependent on *Others*. Isn't it high time we learn to live in peace and harmony with *Others*, because all through our lives, at one point or the *Other*, we will need each *Other*? Hope u share this msg with *Others*. Have a wonderful weekend ahead. Hare krishna Please accept my humble obeisances All glories to Srila Gurudeva ... All glories to Srila Prabhupada ... The Abundance of Yes men

Quit assuming others have it better, or you have it worse. Everyone suffers tremendously in life. It's rude to belittle someone's suffering, thinking yours is greater. Don't judge someone's suffering as better or worse. A dark life can be lived brightly, because pain gave great perspective and wisdom. An average and easy life can be its own kind of tragedy; suffering a mundane deadness. A great life can spoil under great fortune. It's hard having nothing. It's hard having everything. It's hard. Suffering is very personal and cannot be measured by someone from the outside. Everyone suffers in different ways. Life is not a suffering contest; the contest is for compassion.

Last day of 2020

Image
T oday Dec 31st 2020 the last day of the year. Some call it New Year’s Eve. Some call it Old Years day. We will wish 2020 goodbye. It was a year of trials, tribulations uncertainty for many. As we Reflect, it will be Forever in our thoughts. Many of us lost or know of others who lost lost loved ones many were rendered jobless and homeless. In time we will forget, remember Bhagavan has never forgotten the promises made to us. This year our hearts have been filled with more sadness and tears but our memories should also be filled with smiles and laughter of the good times we shared over the years with loved ones. See Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proport...

Causeless mercy

Image
The causeless mercy of Lord Vishnu is unparalleled, and such mercy is  perceived by the devotees only by the grace of the Lord.    A devotee does not live on the material plane-he lives in Kṛṣṇa. The holy name of the Lord and the Lord are nondifferent; therefore when a devotee chants Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa and His internal potency are dancing on the tongue of the devotee. When he offers Kṛṣṇa food, Kṛṣṇa directly accepts these eatables, and the devotee becomes Kṛṣṇa-ized by eating the remnants.      One who does not engage in such service cannot understand how this is so, although this is a process recommended in the Gītā and in other Vedic literatures.     Life is a journey. This metaphor is often used to explain various facets of life, including spiritual progress: we embark on a devotional journey towards Krishna from the miserable material world to the ecstatic spiritual world.      Like all material examples used to illustrate spiri...

Goodness and unalloyed goodness

What is the difference between goodness and unalloyed goodness? In the transcendental world beyond the material sky , the material qualities, especially the modes of ignorance and passion, are completely absent. The mode of ignorance influences a living entity to the habit of lust and hankering, and this means that in the Vaikunthalokas the living entities are free from these two things.  As confirmed in the Bhagavad-gita, in the brahma-bhuta stage of life one becomes free from hankering and lamentation. Therefore the conclusion is that the inhabitants of the Vaikuntha planets are all brahma-bhuta living entities, as distinguished from the mundane creatures who are all compact in hankering and  lamentation.  When one is not in the modes of ignorance and passion, one is supposed to be situated in the mode of goodness in the material world. Goodness in the material world also at times becomes contaminated by touches of the modes of passion and ignorance. In the Vaikunthalok...

Finding faults

A person who finds faults in others is a person full of faults.Fault finding is maya’s very vicious weapon to divert our attention from what we have to do in life and that is clean up our own hearts. When faults in others misguide and delude you- Have patience, introspect, find faults in yourself. Know that others cannot harm you unless you harm yourself. Chant these names with love and you will feel the ecstasy: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare  Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare ... हरे कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे हरे || हरे राम हरे राम राम राम हरे हरे|| Hare Krishna ...
